LG has revealed a few details about its new fitness tracker, the LG Lifeband Touch, ahead of the official LG CES 2014 press event.
Although the actual details are a little scarce at present, the South Korean electronics giant teased its new fitness tracker on the Korean-language blog.
What we know so far is that the LG Lifeband Touch will be a waterproof fitness tracker capable of monitoring the calories you’ve burnt off, how many step you’ve taken and other healthcare tracking stats.
Pairing to iOS and Android devices via Bluetooth 4.0 LE, the LG Lifeband Touch will be a nice alternative to the iOS exclusive Nike Fuelband.
The Lifeband touch also features an OLED display to let you check phone notifications. It seems that the display can be detached from the main body of the life band too, which we assume is how it can be charged.
There is a coloured LED ring that could change colour according to the nature of the phone notification received, but we’ll find out more later.
More information will be available at the LG press conference at 8am in Las Vegas or 4pm here in the UK today, January 6. TrustedReviews will be on hand to bring you all the latest news as it happens.
