Following the introduction of the LG G Flex, LG has teased that it will launch more flexible screened smartphones in the future.
With the LG G Flex having landed as an industry first, thanks to a 6-inch vertically curved screen that hugs the curve of your face during use, the Korean manufacturer has used its CES 2014 press conference to offer a not so subtle hint to its future curved smartphone plans, stating "flexible technology is the future."
“LG G Flex is a true example of how flexible technology is the future. We are going to continue learning from it [flexible screens], Dr Scott Ahn LG’s President and Chief Technology Officer said.
Ahn’s comments were backed up by Frank Lee, LG’s Head of Mobile Communications who stated: “At LG we believe curved is better.”
He added: “We didn’t make G Flex for the sake of being different, it offers real tangible benefits. The LG G Flex is the shape of innovation.”
Having today confirmed that the LG G Flex will launch in the US during Q1 2014, LG recently revealed that the flexible phone will also be heading to UK retailers in the coming months.
