LG 4K Ultra TV 2014 range launched at CES


LG has unveiled its newest range of 4K Ultra HD TVs at CES 2014, launched alongside the 105-inch curved TV.


If curved TVs aren’t your thing, then LG has new super high-res display TVs to offer you this year in 65-, 79-, 84- and 98-inch options.


“Our newest ULTRA HD TV offerings are going to turn a lot of heads at this year’s CES,” said In-kyu Lee, Senior Vice President and head of the TV Division at LG Electronics’ Home Entertainment Company. “Image quality is simply outstanding, and consumers are recognising LG as a trend setter in Ultra HD technology and a leader in moving the 4K medium forward.”


All four models offer a screen resolution of 3840 x 2160p 4K Ultra HD on Ultra IPS panels and feature 4K Motion Estimation Motion Compensation (MEMC) for 4K source content.


These 4K Ultra HD TVs key features also include their Tru-Ultra HD Engine Pro chip, which handles upscaling SD, HD or 1080p True HD content.


They also have a built-in 4K HEVC 60p decoder and can display Ultra HD content from any source, including HDMI 2.0, USB and LAN.


The prices and release dates for these flat panel 4K TVs have yet to be announced, but we’ll keep you informed of any updates.
