Some Steam Machines in the UK look set to cost significantly more than the PS4 and Xbox One.
British based hardware supplier Scan has revealed that its NC10 Steam Machine will cost around £699 when it launches in the UK.
Keith Williams, a representative for the company told TrustedReviews that pricing could possibly drop down to the £500 mark but for now it looks like Steam fans eager to get one of the boxes into their living rooms will have to do some saving.
Williams added that the company is actually ready to ship but is waiting on Valve to put the finishing touches to the gaming-centric operating system and address issues with the Steam controller design.
The Scan NC10 was among a list of 13 Steam Machines shown off by hardware manufacturers at Valve’s intimate press conference at CES where Gabe Newell was present to reveal the news.
One of the more sleeker Steam Machine offerings, the NC10 is powered by an Intel Core i3 400M with a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 765M graphics card, 8GB of RAM and 500GB of storage.
Other key Steam machine manufacturers like Alienware, Gigabyte and Origin PC have yet to talk about how much UK gamers can expect to pay when they launch.
We will keep you posted when we get more details about Steam Machine UK pricing.
