Samsung Galaxy Note Pro and Galaxy Tab Pro outed before CES unveiling

Samsung has seen its Samsung Galaxy Note Pro and Galaxy Tab Pro tablets revealed ahead of their official unveiling at this year’s CES show.

The much-rumoured super-sized tablets are set to take a bow at Samsung’s CES show later this evening, but one eagle-eyed photographer has captured an early glimpse of some promotional material.

Android Central has posted the above snap of Samsung’s incomplete event banner mounted on the side of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

It shows a larger-than-normal Samsung tablet accompanied by the cut-off words 'Samsung Galaxy Note P…'

This evidently confirms what we all suspected - that Samsung will be showing off an S Pen-equipped 12.2-inch tablet at the show. We also know that it will be called the Samsung Galaxy Note Pro, so the size of the device won’t form part of the title as it has in other Samsung tablets.

The banner also reveals that a Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro will be announced. According to a recent @evleaks tweet, this will not only come without the S Pen, it’ll also come in a choice of three screen sizes - 12.2-inch, 10.1-inch, and 8.4-inch. Otherwise, the specs will be the same as the Galaxy Note Pro.

That, apparently, will mean a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 CPU, 3GB of RAM, and an 8-megapixel camera. All Pro models will apparently run on Android 4.4.2 KitKat, along with a new version of Samsung’s TouchWiz UI.

We don’t have long to wait to see these Pro tablets made official, as Samsung is set to start its CES press event at 2PM PST, which is 10PM in UK time.
