Turtle Beach Titanfall headset
Turtle Beach has announced a new partnership with Respawn and EA Games that will see it launch official Titanfall headsets.
The Titanfall headset will be compatible with the Xbox One, Xbox 360, Mac and PC platforms when it launches alongside the game in March 2014.
It will feature marks and “surface treatments” unique to Titanfall, but we’re not sure what that quite means as yet.
“Turtle Beach is honoured to work with the talented teams at Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts to create headsets for fans of Titanfall,” said Bob Picunko, CMO at Turtle Beach. “We are looking forward to working with Electronic Arts and our retail partners to support one of the biggest next-gen events of the year.”
The Xbox One headsets, the Turtle Beach XO Four and Turtle Beach XO Seven, will launch some time in Q1 2014. UK pricing for all headsets has yet to be announced.
Turtle Beach Z60 PC Gaming Headset
Turtle Beach also used CES 2014 to launch its latest addition to the iSeries media headset range. The Turtle Beach Z60 PC gaming headset uses DTS Headphone:X technology to deliver 7.1 surround sound without the need to install specific software on your PC.
The Z60 headset also features oversize 60mm speaker drivers for what Turtle Beach is claiming will be a fuller sound and deeper bass tones. “[The Z60] is the first gaming headset to offer drivers this size,” the company said.
It connects to your PC via USB, which also doubles as the headset’s charger. There’s also a removable microphone and a mobile adapter cable.
The Z60 headset will launch for $119.95 in the US, with UK pricing still unknown.
