Nikon has launched the entry level Nikon D3300 DSLR at CES 2014, as lightweight option great for beginners.
Featuring a 24.2-megapixel CMOS sensor combined with the new Nikon Expeed 4 means the entry-level DSLR isn’t quite offering entry-level specs.

Nikon D3300 Features
The Nikon D3300 has a 24.2-megapixel CMOS sensor, specifically designed with an optical low-pass filter, which should improve the sharpness and clarity of your images. This is coupled with the new Nikon Expeed 4 image processor and an ISO range up to 12,800 for great night time shots.
Movement or other fast paced shots can be captured using the D3300’s continuous shooting mode, with speeds up to 5fps. This is assisted by an 11-point AutoFocus system.
Although it was featured in previous cameras, Nikon’s Guide Mode comes to the fore in the Nikon D3300. It’s great for beginners as it offers step by step guidance and sample images to illustrate the effect you’re attempting to achieve.
You can access it easily from the mode dial on the camera body and learn more about your new Nikon DLSR.
A new Special Effects mode adds to your personalisation options with 13 different effects and filters to use.
The Nikon D3300 can also capture Full HD movies at frame rates up to 50/60 with continuous autofocus via the camera’s D-Movie function.
The DSLR also comes with in-built Wi-Fi and offers a 3-inch LCD screen.
Nikon D3300 Release Date and Price
The Nikon D3300 release date has been set as February 6. Prices start at £499.99 for the body only, but you can opt to purchase the 18-55VRII Kit for £599.99.
The entry-level DSLR is available in red or black.
