.klatz smart bracelet doubles as a handset for your phone

Smarter than the average bracelet

Let's face it, most wearables do pretty much the same thing with varying degrees of success. This smart bracelet, however, is quite different...

When you see an incoming call flash up on it, you can take it off your wrist, flip it open, and take the call through it as if it was a phone. But because it syncs to your phone over Bluetooth, it doesn't need its own SIM card. It means you can take calls without having to take your phone out of your pocket.

Admittedly other smart bracelets and watches let you take calls through them. But this is the only one we've seen that flips open to effectively become a wireless handset for your mobile.

.klatz also claims immense battery life. According to the makers, it'll last 10 days before needing a recharge, or a month in energy saving mode. That puts most other wearables to shame.

The LED screen shows the time and caller ID, so you can see if it's a call you want to take. Plus it has the usual smartwatch functions – you can control music (volume, stop and pause), and get text message and email alerts

It's made of aluminium, so should be strong but light, and it comes in four sizes and a range of colours.

You won't be doing any web browsing on it though. The screen is made of 12x32 LEDs, so it can show text but can't render web pages.

It's raised just under $5,000 of its $140,000 target on Indiegogo.
