DriveClub update imminent, restores more online features

Evolution has confirmed that a DriveClub update is imminent and will restore more online features to its PS4 exclusive racer.

The development team has promised that a new server update issued in the next 24 hours will allow "more of DriveClub online" to be made available to its frustrated fans.

"Continual upgrades to the DriveClub servers are building a steady increase in performance, meaning that we're getting more and more players connected," explained Evolution in a Facebook post. "The next server update is coming within 24 hours and will mean we can start to switch on more of the online features, so that you will be able to play more of DriveClub online."

"We are sorry that we don't have more concrete news to share right now, but please be patient."

Evolution promised that it would provide more information to its fans later on today, October 14. Hopefully, the developer will be able to shed some light on which online features will be made available and at what time we can expect the server update to drop.

There have been server issues with DriveClub, the latest PS4 exclusive, since prior to the UK launch on October 10. Ahead of its UK release, Evolution admitted that it would have to delay the free PS Plus Edition in order to fix the server issues it was experiencing following the game's US launch.

The developer also made the decision to delay the My DriveClub companion app, in order to "ease the load and traffic to the servers".

There's been no word on a complete fix for the servers as yet, or when we can expect to see the PS Plus Edition released.

We'll keep you posted as and when there's any updates from Evolution.
