Alcatel OneTouch has just revealed a low-cost Android smartphone that’ll give you 4G data for just north of a tenner a month.
The ridiculously titled Alcatel OneTouch Idol 2 Mini S 4G LTE smartphone shows off a 4.5-inch qHD IPS display and NFC connectivity built in.
Ill-advised monikers aside, there’s some decent kit inside considering the £12 a month price-tag.
We’re talking a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, an 8-megapixel camera good for 1080p video recording, and a 2-megapixel front-shooter to boot.
"Strikingly beautiful, the IDOL 2 MINI S is a slim smartphone built with performance and usability in mind," says Alcatel, talking up the Idol 2 Mini.
The device ships with Android 4.3 KitKat although you can get 4.4 through over-the-air updates.
It’s not terrible looking either, with brushed metallic finishing and a thickness of just 8.5mm.
The phone launched online today over at Carphone Warehouse, and will hit store shelves sometime in the next few weeks.
