A fresh Sony Xperia Z3 Compact leak suggests Sony is looking to introduced a revamped colour range for its new handset.
Previous Sony Xperia smartphones have been launched in a range of glossy black, white and purple, with the occasional lime green and pink slipping through the net too.
But thanks to a new leak from Ausdroid, we now know that Sony is prepping a new range of colours for the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact at the very least.
From the looks of the images, you’ll be getting a glossy mint green and strawberry red as well as the standard black and white.
These aren’t new colours for Sony, as the company has previously launched phones in these colours as Japanese exclusives.
The Sony Xperia Z3 Compact is expected to be launched later this week at the company’s IFA 2014 press conference.
Rumour has it that it will offer a 4.5-inch 720p HD display running on a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with 2GB of RAM. That should put it on par with existing flagships like the Sony Xperia Z2, LG G3, HTC One M8 and the Samsung Galaxy S5.
It looks like the Z3 Compact will retain the 20.7-megapixel rear camera of the Xperia Z2, Xperia Z1 and its predecessor the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact. The front-facing option should get a slight upgrade to 2.1-megapixels.
As you can see from the above images, the Z3 Compact should retain the design outlined by its predecessors, albeit with the tweaked colour range.
Sony’s IFA press conference is scheduled for tomorrow, September 3. It is hotly tipped that the company will launch the Z3 Compact alongside the flagship Sony Xperia Z3 and a new 8-inch Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact.
