GTA V for Xbox One, PS4 and PC release date tipped for mid-November

The next-gen and PC versions of Grand Theft Auto V will go on sale on November 14, according to retailers.

Extensis Gem, the UK distributor for developer publisher Take Two games, have claimed the open world game will arrive on the Xbox One, PS4 and PS3 on that date, Gamespot reports.

This mirrors an earlier leak British retailer Littlewoods, also claiming November 14 as the release date. As games generally go on sale on Friday in the UK, it would appear the leaks tie together neatly.

Another retailer, Newegg.com through a potential spanner in this logic by suggesting November 18 as the release date, but that could pertain to the US launch.

Traditionally, Tuesday is the on-sale day for video games in the US, different release dates are of course possible.

Newegg has since changed its listing to December 31, which only confirms the game will go on sale before the end of the year.

Rockstar games has so far been non-committal on a solid release date, instead sticking to its general autumn timeframe.

Just yesterday the company went on record to deny reports the game, which went on sale for the Xbox 360 and PS3 over a year ago, had been delayed until 2015.

In a post on NeoGaf forums, a Rockstar support representative wrote: “I’m also looking forward to the PC release, however this release date has not changed,” explained Rockstar support. “Please see our support article, ‘Grand Theft Auto V Release Date on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC’ for the most recent information on this topic."
