The Bloodborne release date has finally been confirmed for February 5, 2015.
Although this date is only for the Japanese market, you can be sure that the game will touch down in the US and UK around the same time.
The UK and US usually get game release dates on Friday or Tuesday respectively, and February 5 is a Thursday, so it would seem a bizarre day for the game to be released on this side of the world.
That means we could see Bloodborne touch down on February 3 or 6 in the US and UK, but we’ll wait for a little more confirmation from From Software.
The release date was announced during Sony’s pre-Tokyo Games Show press conference, among other exciting updates for the PS4.
Bloodborne is in development at From Software, in conjunction with Sony Japan Studio. It is the next game in the Souls series, which contains games like Dark Souls 2 and Demon’s Souls.
There was also a special limited edition of the game announced at the pre-TGS broadcast, but Sony didn’t give us any further details on what it would contain.
Bloodborne is a PS4 exclusive and was originally unveiled at E3 2014. We’ve had a chance to play it a couple of times now, so take a look at our Bloodborne preview for our first impressions.
What’s interesting is that Bloodborne is going to be released around the same time as another PS4 exclusive – The Order: 1886.
The Order: !886 release date is set for February 20, so it will be interesting to see the two PS4 exclusive go head to head early next year.
