Days ahead of the handset’s expected unveiling, new Sony Xperia Z3 pictures have leaked, showing off the phone’s marginally refined form factor.
With the handset have been spotted passing through TENNA certification – the Chinese equivalent of the FCC – the latest Xperia Z3 pictures have highlighted a handset with more rounded corners and, reportedly, a slimmer profile than its predecessor.
The phone has been shown off in both black and white colours schemes.
According to the teased images, the upcoming iPhone 6 and Samsung Galaxy Note 4 rival will add stereo speakers akin to those on the HTC One M8.
Despite the Xperia Z2 having landed just six months ago, it is widely expected that the Sony Xperia Z3 will be formally unveiled this Wednesday, September 3, as part of the manufacturer’s IFA 2014 press conference.
It is expected that the Z3 will be only a minor update on its predecessor, with the same 5.2-inch, 1080p Full HD display, 3GB of RAM and 20.7-megapixel rear-mounted camera all expected to make the crossover from the Z2.
Power will be slightly improved, however. Multiple leaks have pegged the Z3 to make the jump from a 2.3GHz quad-core to a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor.
Stay tuned to TrustedReviews this week for all the latest on Sony’s new handset live from IFA 2014.
