Publisher Rockstar is to rollout a new GTA 5 update this week, with patch 1.04 set to bring a raft of new bug fixes to address continuing issues with the game.
Although last month’s GTA 5 release date smashed all day one and early sales records, the much loved game has been troubled by a number of issues since launch, with the recently introduced GTA Online platform further compounding a number of bugs.
Following last week’s introduction of the third GTA 5 update, the publisher has confirmed that patch 1.04 will be rolled out in the coming seven days. Although confirming an imminent arrival, Rockstar has yet to unveil a precise GTA 5 update release date.
Similarly, although a full list of bugs that are to be addressed has yet to be released, Rockstar has stated that the next GTA 5 update will “fix the remaining instances of issues that have caused vehicle purchase loss.”
Confirmation of the latest GTA 5 update comes after Rockstar revealed it would rollout a range of in-game monetary compensation packages for gamers affected by the continuing GTA Online problems.
“Given some of the recent technical issues during these first days of GTA Online, and now that things are starting to look much smoother (touch wood!), we are planning to provide a special stimulus package for all who have played or will play Grand Theft Auto Online this month,” the developer announced in a recent statement.
“We will be dropping a cool half a million GTA$ in the GTA Online bank accounts of all players this month, starting as early as next week.”
With the rewards set to appear in player’s in-game bank accounts soon, Rockstar has revealed that it will issue the payments in two $250,000 deposits, the first expected to drop next week and the second before the end of the month.
