The Google Nexus 5 appeared briefly on the Google Play Store, confirming that an official announcement is not far off at all - as well as the handset's pricing.
Google has been unable to stem the flow of hands-on shots and information on the Nexus 5 from unofficial sources in recent months, but the latest and largest leak of all is of its own doing.
In the early hours of the morning Google seemingly pressed the launch button on its new phone, which was then picked up on by Engadget.
Besides the above image, the listing also revealed a few snippets of information on Google's approach with the phone. "Capture the everyday and the epic" is the tagline the company is going with, which hints at a particularly strong camera.
Perhaps those rumours of a blazing-fast MEMs camera making its way into the Nexus 5 are on the money after all.
Even more interesting here is confirmation of the Google Nexus 5's starting price. The entry-level 16GB model will cost $349, which is the same price as the equivalent Google Nexus 4 model when it launched a year ago. It's also $50 cheaper than a rumour that emerged earlier this week had suggested.
This means that the Google Nexus 5 is highly likely to start for £280 here in the UK.
Other notable points to take from this leak involve confirmation of some of the tweaks evident in Android 4.4 KitKat. There looks to be a greater level of translucency used on the homescreen, such as on the notification bar along the top.
There are also new phone and camera icons.
Suffice to say Google has since removed this mistakenly launched page from the Play Store, but it's a sign that we're not far off an official Google Nexus 5 launch at all.
