PS4 games available to pre-order digitally on the PS3

Sony has started rolling out pre-orders for upcoming PS4 titles, ahead of the next-generation console’s launch next month.

Although the PS4 release date isn’t until next month, Sony is already offering pre-orders for digital copies of select titles for the console.

Sony announced the pre-order service as a tweet late last night, with Knack and Warframe starting the PS4 pre-order offerings.

“We’re rolling out PS4 game pre-orders on PS Store (PS3) and SEN online store starting with Knack and Warframe today”, read the official PlayStation tweet.

However, when we searched the Sony Entertainment Network and the PlayStation Network we couldn’t find any listings for either game, let alone the option to pre-order. We expect that Sony is rolling out the service to different locations slowly though, so if you’re in the market for either title we suggest you check the service regularly.

Knack will be released on November 29 in line with the PS4 release date in the UK and offers a family-friendly platformer from launch.

Similar to the Xbox 360 launch title, Kameo, you’ll have to utilise Knack’s various forms to complete levels and protect the world from the goblins.

Published by Sony Computer Entertainment, the third-person action adventure title was the unlikely game used to demo the graphic and processing prowess of the PS4 at the console’s unveiling.

Warframe on the other hand is a free-to-play title that has yet to gain an official release date. Another third-person game, Warframe is a co-op focused action title with sci-fi influences.

All players have to wear a battlesuit called a Warframe, each of which holds its own set of abilities and stats.

Sony is bound to offer digital pre-orders for other PS4 launch games like DriveClub, Killzone: Shadow Fall, Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, Battlefield 4 and Call of Duty: Ghosts.
