The Google Nexus 7 2.0 has cropped up in the Carphone Warehouse UK stock inventory ahead of its expected launch on July 24.
Heavily tipped to launch on Wednesday, the second-generation Nexus 7 has now appeared in the Carphone Warehouse UK inventory prior to its official unveiling by Google.
The leaked inventory screen shot comes via an anonymous source speaking to Pocket-lint and shows both a 16GB and 32GB version of the Nexus 7 2.0.
Both of the models are listed as Wi-Fi only and without a tariffed price, it isn’t known yet whether there will be a 3G option available.
Earlier today, Google Nexus 7 2.0 press shots leaked showing off a very similar design to the current 7-inch tablet, with the second-generation option looking longer and thinner.
Google Nexus 7 2.0 Rumours
The latest rumours suggest the Nexus 7 2.0 will have a quad-core 1.5GHz CPU and a 1,980 x 1,200p HD 7-inch display.
Unlike the original Google Nexus 7, the follow-up will pack a rear-facing camera pegged at 5-megapixels. This will be coupled with a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera.
Keeping in line with the current Nexus 7 price range, the next-generation tablet is said to be launching for somewhere around the $269 or £176 price point. The original 7-inch Google slate can be purchased from £159 on the Google Play Store.
Google is also tipped to unveil Android 4.3 alongside the Nexus 7 2.0 at the event on Wednesday, July 24.
Taking place at the Google Mountain View campus, the event is being held by Sundar Pichai, Google’s Head of Android.
The supposed Google Nexus 7 2.0 and Android 4.3 event will kick off at 9am PST on July 24, which is 5pm UK time.
