Samsung Galaxy Note 3 sketches
New Samsung Galaxy Note 3 specs have leaked suggesting the large-screen device will have a 5.7-inch display and a new Xenon flash.
Supporting previous rumours that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 would feature a 5.7-inch display, the latest leaks also suggest the phablet will be getting a Xenon flash upgrade.
Paired with new sketches of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 successor, the specs reveal that the LED flash will be getting a Xenon upgrade with the device running Android Jelly Bean – either 4.2 or 4.3.
The display was previously tipped to be a whopping 6-inches, more akin to the Samsung Galaxy Mega, but is now been pegged at 5.7-inches with a 1,920 x 1,080p Full HD resolution.
The sketches also reveal that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will have a very slim bezel around that 5.7-inch screen, but still in-keeping with the design of the Samsung Galaxy S4 and previous models.
Similar to the Samsung Galaxy S4, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is tipped to launch in two different varieties. The first is said to run on the eight-core Samsung Exynos 5 Octa processor, whilst a second is said to have a 2.3GHZ quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU.
Strongly rumoured to make an appearance at the Berlin-based IFA conference in September, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 may launch with a different processor for different markets.
The IFA conference was used to launch the Galaxy Note 2 and original Galaxy Note, so it would be a fitting location for the official unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
The S Pen stylus wielding Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has the potential to continue the success of the other Galaxy Note models.
However, with the emergence of other “phablet” type devices, such as the Huawei Ascend Mate and Asus Fonepad, could the Galaxy Note 3 get lost in a sea of phones with supersized screens?
