Owners of a Nexus 4, Nexus 7 or Nexus 10 will be able to update their devices to Android 4.3 today, gaining access to all the new features.
Google officially unveiled Android 4.3 Jelly Bean last night along with the Full HD resolution new Nexus 7, with the update arriving for Google smartphones and tablets from today.
Rather than a completely new mobile OS, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean brings incremental updates to the existing Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS.
Adding to the multi-user feature introduced in Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, the latest Google mobile OS has new restricted profiles available to users.
Android 4.3 Jelly Bean hides the purchasing functionality and access to the Google Store for younger users, showing only the content that has already been bought.
Bluetooth Smart support has also been added with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, also known as Bluetooth LE, which allows connections to low powered Bluetooth devices like heart rate monitors.
The new Google OS brings OpenGL ES 3.0 graphics technology with it, which uses 32bits of data per colour adding what Google calls “a new level of photorealism.”
New DRM APIs for Android 4.3 Jelly Bean allows full 1080p HD streaming, which will be showcased on the new Android 4.3 Netflix app.

Google also unveiled its new Nexus 7 tablet at its event last night. Packing a 7-inch 1920 x 1200p Full HD resolution and a 323ppi image density, it has the highest resolution of any 7-inch tablet on the market.
The new Nexus 7 has a 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, which is 80 per cent faster than the original Nexus 7 and now has 2GB of RAM.
