A selection of HTC One M9 Plus specs have leaked, suggesting the upcoming flagship spin-off will line up as a 5.2-inch offering.
Having previously been tipped to adopt the same 5-inch form factor as the flagship HTC One M9, it is now believed the handset will sport the larger frame associated with a ‘Plus’ suffixed device.
As well as adopting a larger screen, the HTC One M9 Plus is expected to benefit from improved visuals.
While the M9 is heading to market with the same 5-inch, 1080p Full HD panel as last year’s HTC One M8, the M9 Plus will reportedly move to an LG G3 and Samsung Galaxy Note 4 rivalling 2560 x 1440 WQHD panel.
Further HTC One M9 Plus specs leaked by the serial tech tipster Upleaks include Qualcomm’s latest octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of DDR4 RAM and 32GB of internal storage – expandable via microSD.
The big specs difference between the two devices, however, is the Plus’ purported addition of a fingerprint sensor.
Set to be located within a dedicated physical home button on the device’s fore, the inclusion of a fingerprint scanner will see the M9 closer rival the likes of the iPhone 6 and upcoming Samsung Galaxy S6.

While the HTC One M9 is set to be unveiled during the Taiwanese manufacturer’s pre-MWC press conference on March 1, the Plus is not expected to enter the realms of reality until later in the year.
The oversized handset’s features list will reportedly be rounded off my the inclusion of a 20.7-megapixel primary camera, 13-megapixel front-facing snapper and a 2840mAh Lithium-Ion battery.
