The Samsung Galaxy S4 Active has leaked for the second time in as many days
The Samsung Galaxy S4 Active appears to be edging closer to the realms of reality, with the rugged Samsung Galaxy S4 spinoff staring in a leaked hands-on video hours after still images emerged.
Appearing to be the exact same device that was prematurely unveiling yesterday in a series of spy shots, the new Samsung Galaxy S4 Active has been shown sporting a red metallic body with soft touch rubber panels, a considerably sturdier construction than the plastic design that has caused much criticism amongst standard Samsung Galaxy S4 owners.
Suggesting the currently unofficial handset is nearing a formal launch, the new hands-on Samsung Galaxy S4 Active video has all but confirmed a number of the handset’s specs, with the device once again mooted to play host to an 8-megapixel rear-mounted camera.
One of a number of Samsung Galaxy S4 spinoff devices tipped for release, the water and dust proof ruggedized Samsung Galaxy S4 Active looks set to be joined by the smaller, lower end Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini and the 16-megapixel optical zoom camera hosting Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom. Adding the S4 cash cow bandwagon, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mega yesterday leaked as an even larger rendition of the already 5-inch flagship phone.
Emerging courtesy of MobileTech, the S4 Active video, like the leaked images before it, shows a device running the same 1.9GHz quad-core processor found within the original Samsung Galaxy S4. What’s more, with a 5-inch 1080p Full HD display and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean at its core, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active looks to be cut vry much from the same mould as its predecessor.
Offering some previously unrevealed details on the device, the S4 Active video has suggested that the handset will replace its trio of touch sensitive Android control in favour of three physical buttons, a further sign of its sturdy, life-proof nature.
With Samsung yet to offering any indication to the handset’s existence, details on a potential Samsung Galaxy S4 Active release date is currently unknown.
