Tomorrow’s Xbox 720 reveal will focus on the console, confirms a Microsoft executive, and promises to offer gamers “lots of surprises”.
Aaron Greenburg, Microsoft’s chief of staff for Interactive Entertainment Business, has revealed that tomorrow’s Xbox reveal will be focused on the next-generation console and its potential.
A special guest on Larry Hryb or Major Nelson’s podcast, Greenburg speaks at length about the Xbox reveal occurring tomorrow, May 21.
“We’re really going to tell one story across two events. So we’re going to start on the 21st," said Greenburg. "Really that’s about revealing the next Xbox platform, really our vision for the future of games, the future of entertainment. We definitely have a lot of surprises planned.”
Microsoft will use tomorrow’s launch event to introduce the new console and to display the team behind the Xbox.
“People are going to get a great inside look at really making the new platform and the team that’s brought it to life. I mean, it’s really about the team, the people here, that’s why we’re inviting people to campus. We’re going to bring them behind the scenes a little bit,” Greenburg explained.
The Xbox reveal is going to be a lot of “laying the foundations”, while the E3 event is where Greenburg says Microsoft will build a “really great house”.
That briefing will be all about the games, including “tonnes of exclusive” and “world premieres”.
The company will showcase some gaming footage at the event tomorrow, including Call of Duty: Ghosts.
“I know everyone know the Infinity Ward team is hard at work on world premièring the next Call of Duty: Ghosts, so we’re going to see what that looks like for the first time,” continued Greenberg.
The next Xbox reveal will occur tomorrow, May 21 from 6pm BST on Xbox Live and Xbox.com. Stay tuned with TrustedReviews for all the Xbox 720 news.
