Samsung has released its own, official Galaxy S6 drop test video in response to recent claims of the phone’s fragility.

With gadget warranty firm SquareTrade having recently suggested the Galaxy S6 Edge is more prone to bending than Apple’s much maligned iPhone 6 Plus, Samsung hit-back to quash such claims.

Now, in a further step to stem consumers’ concerns, Samsung has launched its own S6-themed drop test video.

Focussing on both the S6 and S6 Edge, the drop test highlights reel shows the two handsets – which will be officially released in the UK this Friday, April 10 – being dropped from all angles and a variety of heights.

Earlier this week, Samsung responded to SquareTrade’s bendgate 2.0 claims by stating: “All our devices are put through rigorous high-quality validation tests before they are delivered to consumers.

“These tests include various conditions, such as dropping, bending, and breaking. And we are confident that all our smartphones are not bendable under daily usage.”
