The Windows 10 store will be a one shop shop for apps, movies, TV shows and music with all content working universally across all devices.
In a blog post today (via The Verge), Microsoft announced it is adding entertainment content to the Windows 10 app store.
Movies and TV show rentals and purchases are available to test for preview members today, while Microsoft says music will be added in the coming weeks
The unified store means Windows 10 users won’t have to navigate to different locations in order to obtain content, whether they’re using PCs, tablets, smartphones, Xbox consoles or IoT devices.
“To go along with this single unified application platform will be a single unified Store,” Microsoft’s Brandon LeBlanc wrote.
“This single Store experience will be the one way for apps and games to be discovered, purchased and updated across all of your devices. We’re also adding music, movies and TV shows into the Store for you purchase and access across all your devices too!”

Microsoft still has plenty of work to do on the store ahead of the Windows 10 release this summer, Le Blanc said.
He added: “For example – you won’t see movie or TV details like cast and crew and you’ll only be able to stream video content right now. But don’t worry – offline download capability will be coming!”
Earlier this week, Microsoft announced it was dropping the Xbox branding from its Music and Video apps in Windows 10 to further reflect its desire to have a unified one size fits all store.
