With just a week to go until the phone’s official unveiling, Huawei has once again teased its next flagship phone, the Huawei Ascend P8.
Set to be formally debuted at a London-based launch event next Wednesday, April 15, the Huawei P8 has now been tipped to boast improved low-light photographic capabilities.
In a slightly left field, cheesy teaser, the Chinese manufacturer has riffed on the recent solar eclipse to big up the phone’s imaging abilities in less than ideal lighting conditions.
Suggesting people can now be seen better in photos taken under the cloak of darkness, the company has claimed the handset will introduce “the new wonder of light”.
Recent reports have suggested the Galaxy S6 and HTC One M9 challenger will play host to an improved 13-megapixel rear-mounted camera, with a secondary 8-megapixel snapper to feature up front.
Far from the first time Huawei has teased elements of its upcoming phone, past intentional leaks have seen the handset’s metal and glass body and impressive battery life teased.

Joining Huawei’s in-house teases, a selection of leaks have further hinted at the phone’s upcoming additions.
Recent reports have suggested the device will be powered by the new octa-core Kirin 930 chip and a skinned version of Google’s latest Android 5.0 Lollipop OS.
Further features tipped to make an appearance include 3GB of RAM, a 5.2-inch, 1080p Full HD display, an integrated fingerprint scanner and 32GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD.
Although set to be the headline announcement at next week’s event, it has been suggested the P8 could be joined by a new, sub-specced sibling, the Huawei Ascend P8 Lite.
