Apple might not start accepting Apple Watch pre-orders until tomorrow, April 10, but that hasn’t stopped one reseller jumping the gun.
Gadget modder Goldgenie has confirmed it is now taking advanced orders for its blinged-up Apple Watch Spectrum line.
Despite letting you secure your Apple Watch ahead of the masses, Goldgenie’s deals come at a bit of a premium.
Looking to compete with the super-high-end Apple Watch Edition, the gilder’s entry-level offering will set wannabe owners back a massive £2,000.
For this you’ll get the Apple Watch Elite, a stainless steel Apple Watch plated in either 24-carat gold, rose gold or platinum.
Although cheaper than the £8,000 starting price of the Apple Watch Edition, this is a long shot from the £299 asking price of the base-level Apple Watch Sport.
From here, prices continue northwards, as materials such as snake skin and crocodile are thrown into the mix.
Last week the modder even announced plans to release a £110,000 diamond studded version of Apple’s first wearable.
To secure your Apple Watch through Goldgenie, you must pick how far up the scale of lavish ridiculousness you want to go and pay a 50 per cent despite.
Like Apple’s stock offerings, Goldgenie will start shipping orders from April 24.

Goldgenie Founder and CEO Laban Roomes said: “As Apple affirm their position in the luxury marketplace with prices of £8,000 upwards for the Apple Watch Edition, we are bridging the gap between that and the more accessible stainless steel Apple Watch models with our luxury finishes and artisan watch straps.”
He added: “The Apple Watch is a device that will not only change the way we tell the time but will change our relationship with wearable technology and we are looking forward to being part of this shift.”
Earlier today Apple revealed that Apple Watch pre-orders will only be able to be placed online, with the company’s physical stores to act only as a means of trying the device out for size.
