PlayStation Plus February games announced for PS4, PS3 and PS Vita

Sony has announced the PlayStation Plus games for February on the PS4, PS3 and PS Vita.

The PS Plus February games will land on February 4, Sony has confirmed, with two games each for Sony's various consoles as usual.

This month, we've got quite a variety of games that you'll be able to download and play for free as of February 4.

For PS4, you'll get Apotheon and Transistor - two indie titles with great reviews across the industry.

Apotheon is a 2D adventure set in mythical ancient Greece, where you must journey to the top of Mount Olympus. To do that though, you'll need to pass through the land of the dead, infiltrate the mountain itself and end the Wrath of the Gods. No biggie, right?

Transistor on the other hand is a sci-fi themeed action RPG that sees you fight through a futuristic city with a powerful and rather extraordinary weapon.

You'll need to use your powers of strategic planning despite the fact this is a fast-paced action game, which makes for some quite unique gameplay experiences.

As for PlayStation 3 gamers, PS Plus is treating you to two massive free games - Thief and Yakuza 4.

Thief, originally released just last year, sees you take control of the titular thief Garrett. You'll need to choose how to tackle each mission as you strive to take down The City's rich and help the less fortunate who are drowning in repression and misery.

Yakuza 4 is a cleverly woven story of a selection of characters, set in the criminal underground of Tokyo. In this open world adventure, you'll need to choose whose story you want to hear first and work out how they all intertwine.

Finally, we've got the PS Vita titles for February PS Plus' offerings - Rogue Legacy and Kick and Fennick.

Rogue Legacy is a 2D platform adventure where you'll need to make your way through a procedurally-generated castle to discover the origins and secrets of your heritage. If you die though, you'll have to start from the beginning of your castle adventure and try, try again.

Kick and Fennick sees you take control of a young boy with a very oversized gun. Kick finds himself in a seemingly abandoned world, where he meets robot Fennick. They soon realise Fennick's battery is broken and must find him a new energy core.
