The eagerly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S6 will feature a slightly redesigned rear, judging by the third-party cases which emerged on Wednesday.
Judging by designs by Cush Cases (via GSM Arena), the S6 will feature the heart rate sensor and camera flash to the right of the lens, rather than beneath it.
The accessory maker has placed the ‘heavy duty rugged cover’ on Amazon now, with a planned release date of February 24.
While the cases will likely go on sale on that date, it’s worth noting the images on show may not represent final designs. Cush Cases may be using these images as placeholders ahead of the launch of the Galaxy S6.
It sure wouldn’t be the first time third-party case manufacturers attempted to steal a march on the rest of the pack by anticipating designs.
The Galaxy S6 probably won’t be announced until the Mobile World Congress expo in Barcelona at the beginning of March.
Recent reports have suggested Samsung is still mulling the final design of the crucial sixth-generation Galaxy phone, so it appears unlikely the company would be dishing details to outside case-makers at this stage.
Throughout this month speculation has suggested the phone will include a brand new fingerprint sensor similar to the touch-based technology within Apple’s iPhones.
Just this week it was rumoured the company would be including a custom-built Exynos 7420 chip as a response to reported overheating issues with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor.
Meanwhile, it’s still unknown whether Samsung will debut an all-metal rear casing with its new smartphone. The firm is also widely expected to announce a version with a dual-edge screen called the Galaxy S Edge.

All is likely to be revealed at MWC 2015, which kicks off on March 2.
