LG has unveiled the Ice Cream Smart, its second ever smartphone to rock the age-old clamshell design.
A clear throwback to yesteryear's mobile-dom, LG has dragged the classic clamshell kicking and screaming into the new decade thanks to a contemporary spec sheet.
The Ice Cream Smart is technically a successor to LG’s KF350 of 2008, but this signals a slightly unwieldy seven-year release cycle for clamshell blowers.
So what do you get in LG’s latest hinge-toting smartphone? For starters, you’ll be viewing content on a slightly underwhelming 3.5-inch HVGA display, running a 320 x 480 resolution.
At its heart lies a quad-core 1.2GHz processor, most probably a Snapdragon 400, as well as 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of built-in storage.
You’ll also get 4G/LTE connectivity, as well as more typical connections like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and micro-USB.
The rear camera sensor measures up at 8-megapixels, while the front-facing shooter is listed as VGA.
All of this is juiced by a 1700mAh li-ion battery. That might sound small, but the teeny display isn’t likely to drain the charge down too quickly.
It also runs off Android 4.4 KitKat which, while not as new as Android 5.0 Lollipop, is still a solid OS.

Right, how much will this vintage snap-phone cost you? It’s currently listed at around $277, which equates to roughly £180.
