An alleged iPad Pro case leak appears to suggest that Apple's super-sized tablet will come with four speakers.

The leak comes via French blog Nowhereelse, and shows what is very evidently an iPad case of some sorts. Look a little closer, however, and it seems clear that it's not intended for the iPad Air 2, the iPad mini 3, or any other existing Apple tablet.

While the power button, volume button, headphone jack, and Lightning port cutouts are all in their familiar places, there are four additional cut-outs located near the corners.

This would appear to tally with earlier rumours that the so-called iPad Pro will feature drastically improved sound quality through four distinct speakers.

There's another cutout on one side of the case that is about the right size, position, and proportions to be a SIM tray. Any professional-grade tablet worth its salt would feature mobile connectivity, after all.

The iPad Pro is also rumoured to feature a 12-inch display (either 12.9-inch or 12.2-inch, depending on who you talk to), and could even sport a 4K resolution. It could be powered by Apple's next-generation A9 chip. Recent reports also claim that the business-oriented tablet could be accompanied by an optional stylus.

A September launch has been mooted, and you can expect the iPad Pro to be the most expensive tablet in Apple's roster.
