The HTC One M9 ‘Hima’ has appeared on benchmark tests, seemingly confirming a host of spec sheet rumours (via PhoneArena ).
For starters, the device is listed as running Android 5.0.2 – this gels with everything we’ve heard so far about the HTC One M9 using Google’s latest OS.
It also reveals that the chip will use ARM’s big.LITTLE configuration across 8 cores, half of which will be A-53, the other half being the more powerful A-57.
One important point to note is that the benchmark lists the clock speed at 1.55GHz. This is likely because the A-53 was used for the test. Final clock speeds will be assuredly higher.
So what chip will be on board? Well the motherboard is listed as ‘msm8994’, which we know to be Qualcomm’s newest Snapdragon 810 system-on-a-chip.
This falls in line with what we’ve already heard, and signals that this particular phone will almost definitely be HTC’s next flagship, thanks to the high-tier chipset on board.
The Snapdragon 810 brings with it, amongst other things, 64-bit architecture, improved battery life, Cat. 9 LTE support, and a built-in killswitch for added security.
Memory is also clued by the tests, which reveal the device will land with 3GB of RAM on board – no surprise there.

What’s interesting is that the model number of the handset – OPJA10 – is the same as the model number of the phone that turned up in a photo reflection.
The raft of recent final-build leaks suggests HTC’s next handset is nearing release, with most expecting the device to land on March 1, taking up centre stage at this year’s Mobile World Congress.
