Google Nexus 5 leaks en masse ahead of today’s unveiling


Ahead of today’s expected Google Nexus 5 release date, the Android 4.4 KitKat powered handset has flooded the web in a mass of premature leaks.


With the Google Nexus 4 follow-on widely expected to finally enter the realms of reality this evening before going on sale tomorrow, November 1, new Google Nexus 5 leaks have shown the handset out in the wild, with a range of features and details also making an appearance.


With a raft of new Google Nexus 5 leaks appearing in unison, one have be tipster even took to Reddit to answer questions on the upcoming handset.


Describing the phone, the anonymous tipster suggested the Nexus 5 “doesn't feel cheap like a Samsung device” adding it “feels great in the hand, it’s similar to holding a G2 but no volume controls [on the back].”


Offering more details on the Google Nexus 5 specs, they added: “The battery isn’t as good as other devices out in the market today. Same goes for the display. Sound is really good but the price is going to be much lower than other current devices without a contract.”


On the Google Nexus 5 price, the latest leaks have claimed that it is now 99 per cent certain that the phone will start from $349 (£217).


With the Google Nexus 5 set to be the first handset to come running the recently confirmed Android 4.4 KitKat operating system, the new OS will reportedly offer new cloud storage options. Discussing the new feature the online tipster stated that the service is like “iCloud but for Android.”
