Rise of the Tomb Raider confirmed alongside ‘Holiday 2015’ release date

A new Tomb Raider title is on its way - Rise of the Tomb Raider was officially announced during Microsoft’s E3 2014 press conference.

Although details on Rise of the Tomb Raiser are still virtually non-existent, the game’s title was confirmed during the press showing, alongside a "holiday 2015" release date.

With a launch window that should see the game hit retailers between late September and early December of next year, {pullquote]Rise of the Tomb Raider is likely to be one of the most high-profile launches of the 2015 festive period.{/pullquote}

Although the game’s title and launch were confirmed as part of a brief, teaser trailer, little of the actual game has been revealed.

Dark, moody and slightly sinister, the teaser video showed the Tomb Raider lead Lara Croft only briefly, looking out over an expansive environment.

While the game was shown off as part of Microsoft’s Xbox conference, the new Tomb Raider game will also likely be available on Sony’s latest PS4 console.

We expect to hear more on Rise of the Tomb Raider from developer Square Enix over the coming days so keep it locked to TrustedReviews for all the latest developments.
