Far Cry 4 lets you play two-player online co-op

Far Cry 4 will features two-player online co-operative, as confirmed during the PlayStation E3 2014 press conference.

The gameplay demo showed one person controlling Ajay Ghale, one of the game’s main characters, while another came into the game at a later point playing as Hurk.

This is the first time such a feature has been introduced to the Far Cry series and there’s definitely a perk if you’re playing it on PlayStation consoles.

When you buy Far Cry 4 on PS3 and PS4 you can invite your PSN friends to join you in-game even if they don’t have the game yet. This is something that is only possible on PlayStation platforms.

The gameplay trailer showed Ghale grappling up the side of mountains to reach goals and the game introduces a new Wingsuit mechanic that lets you soar across the Himalayan landscape.

We also saw the character engaging in a mission to destroy a convoy. He drove up alongside the van and punched the driver out of the vehicle and jumped in himself. Quite a nifty technique that is sure to speed up gameplay.

As for the weapons arsenal, we saw a crossbow, C4 and an automatic pistol shown off at E3 2014.

Ubisoft released the first five minutes of Far Cry 4 at its own E3 2014 press conference earlier in the day, setting the scene for the game’s rather intense storyline with a lot of violence.

The Far Cry 4 release date has been set for November 21 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
