Scrolling is a thing of the past
The problem with smartwatches and fitness trackers is the screens are too small to read on. The Uno Noteband looks to solve that problem by using Spritz, the one-touch reading software we first saw in the Samsung Gear 2.
It only shows one word at a time, but zips through them at very fast speeds. Because your eyes aren't moving, the makers claim Spritz can help you read up to 80 per cent faster. There's no scrolling required, just press once and it'll blast through the entire message.
The idea is you won't have to take your phone out of your pocket, just glance at your wrist instead. You can't reply from the device, however. You'll have to take your phone out for that.
The Uno Noteband can show emails, incoming calls, text messages, social media, calendar and gaming notifications. It comes with Apple Health, Google Fit, Xbox Live, Facebook and Twitter all integrated.
Using its sensors, it knows which way up it is and displays the text accordingly so you can read it without having to tilt your head. You can save notifications to read later, or just check them as they come in.
It supports English, French, German, Italian and Spanish. More languages are on the way.
It's also one for the gamers, showing notifications from Xbox Live, PlayStation and Steam.
And its makers claim it lasts three days on a full charge, which is three times longer than the Apple Watch.
It's already passed its funding goal on Indiegogo, and still has 26 days to go.
