Linn has just announced its DS range of speakers now boast ‘seamless integration’ of the Tidal lossless music streaming service.

This means that both future and current owners of a Linn DS system will have access to upwards of 25 million audio tracks.

At last, Linn users are able to stream a higher-quality alternative to the mainstream MP3 quality streaming services previously available,” wrote the company.

Tidal might be a relatively new service, but it already has a truckload of music on offer, with distribution agreements signed with major labels like Sony Music Entertainment, Universal Music Group, and Warner Music Group.

The streaming service also works with independent labels too, giving it a veritable smorgasbord of audio goodness.

Gilad Tiefenbrun, MD at Linn, said: “We are delighted to be working closely with Tidal who sahre this strong commitment to delivering high quality music by making their lossless streaming service available to our customers in a seamless way for the first time.”

Linn DS users can access Tidal’s services through Linn Kazoo, the app used to control Linn speakers.

To celebrate the partnership, Linn and Tidal are also offering a 60-day free trial of Tidal to anyone who owns a Linn DS system.

Pål Bråtelund, Tidal’s strategic partnership manager for HiFi, said: “I am extremely proud that Tidal is now available on Linn systems. Like Linn, we at Tidal also try our best to deliver quality without getting in the way of the true purpose – creating special music experiences.”

He added: “Christmas comes early this year to music lovers.”
