BlackBerry has just launched its new Classic handset in an attempt to rekindle the love for handsets of yore.
The yesteryear-inspired device riffs on older devices, most notably the BlackBerry Bold, albeit with a few new additions.
Foremost amongst the features is the return of the track-pad, a touch-sensitive nubbin that’s much-loved amongst BlackBerry loyalists.
The device also lands with the expected qwerty keyboard, as well as four hot-keys that cover call, menu, back, and end-call respectively.

The display comes in at 3.5-inches with a 720 x 720 resolution, which makes it a very niche pick for consumers, many of whom will dismiss the device for its lack of media-friendliness.
The remainder of the spec sheet reads as follows: a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of built-in storage, and BlackBerry 10.31 OS.
Snapping potential comes courtesy of an 8-megapixel rear-facing sensor, with a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter to boot.
The phone is available to buy from today in the US and Canada, pricing up at $499 and $449 respectively.
That puts a UK price anywhere between £272 and £285, although it’s not yet clear what the official pricing will be or when it will even land in the UK.
