At long last, the Motorola Moto 360 specs and release date have been confirmed.
Although Motorola has elaborated on a specific Moto 360 release date, at least we know that the gadget will be launched in early October.
Originally it was scheduled to be released in the summer, but now we’re looking at an October launch window for the round-faced smartwatch.
Motorola Moto 360 Features
The Motorola Moto 360 comes with a 1.5-inch 320 x 290p backlit LCD display running Android Wear. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
That display is set in a round body that is a chunky 11mm thick and 46mm in diameter.
It is powered by a 320mAh battery, which claims to offer just a day of life. It does feature wireless charging though, and comes with a special cradle that means the 360 doubles up as a little bedside clock.
Under the hood, you’ll find a TI OMAP 3 processor with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage.
The Moto 360 connects to your Android 4.3 or higher phone via Bluetooth 4.0 LE.
As for sensors, you’ll find the 360 has a pedometer, optical heart rate monitor and even comes with IP67 water resistant certification.
Motorola Moto 360 Price
The Motorola Moto 360 will retail for £199.99, which is considerably more than the £159.99 LG G Watch and £169.99 Samsung Gear Live.
It will be available with a choice of grey leather or black leather straps. Early retailers will include O2, Tesco, John Lewis and Amazon from early October.
