Acer Iconia Tab 8 W and Tab 10 launched at IFA


Acer has refreshed its tablet range at IFA 2014 in Berlin, with the Acer Iconia Tab 8W and Iconia Tab 10.


The two tablets run Windows 8.1 and Android 4.4 KitKat respectively, offering something for all consumer preferences.


Acer Iconia Tab 8 W Features

The Acer Iconia Tab W offers an 8-inch display with a 1280 x 800p HD resolution running Windows 8.1. It is equipped with IPS display technology too, to improve viewing angles.


Running on the quad-core Intel Atom Z3735G processor it measures up at 9.75mm thick and weighs only 370g.


You’ll get dual cameras of unknown resolutions, plus microSD card support for enhanced storage options.


Acer claims you’ll get 8 hours of battery life out of the little Windows 8.1 slate and you’ll get a free year of Microsoft Office 365.


The Tab 8 W will launch in November starting at £119.99.


Acer Iconia Tab 10 Features

The larger 10.1-inch Acer Iconia Tab 10 runs Android 4.4 KitKat on a full 1080p HD display.


This Android tablet is kitted out with Dolby Digital Plus and has dual built-in speakers.


It runs on a quad-core MediaTek processor and comes with a micro HDMI port and Intel’s Wireless Display technology.


It launches in October, with prices starting at £139.99.
