Tesco Mobile has launched a range of new 4G tariffs, with contracts starting from as little as £10 per month.
With tariffs starting at just £2.50 more than the standard 3G contract, Tesco Mobile has just launched its own 4G offerings, piggy-backing on the O2 4G network.
SIM-only 4G plans with Tesco Mobile start at £7.50 per month on a 12 month contract, offering 250 minutes, 5000 texts and 500MB of data, which really won’t last long with a speedy 4G connection.
For £10 a month on a 12 month contact you will get 1GB of data, 500 minutes and 5000 texts.
Tesco Mobile’s 4G SIM-only tariffs go up to £20 per month, which will get you 2000 minutes, 5000 texts and 2GB of data on a rolling contracts or 3000 minutes on a year contract.
There’s also a range of 4G smartphones available from Tesco Mobile, including the HTC One, Nokia Lumia 925, Samsung Galaxy S4 and Sony Xperia SP.
Contracts all run for 24 months, but you won’t have to pay an upfront handset costs for any of the handsets offered.
For £17.50 a month for two years, you can get the Nokia Lumia 920 or Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 with 250 minutes, 5000 texts and 500MB of 4G data.
The pricier options are the £30 per month contracts for the Lumia 925 and Galaxy S4, but these offer 500 minutes, 5000 texts and 1GB of data on a 24 month contract.
Tesco Mobile seems to have deliberately offered a full range of price options for every budget with their 4G contracts, which is great for those who want 4G speeds without the EE price tag.
The 4G with Tesco Mobile also functions similar to a bolt-on, in that you can add or remove it or increase and decrease your data allowance on a month to month basis.
However, as Tesco Mobile uses the O2 4G network, you will have to be living in London, Leeds, Bradford, Birmingham, Coventry, Leeds, Leicester or Sheffield to get coverage. By the end of the year, Newcastle, Glasgow, Liverpool, Manchester and Edinburgh will be covered too.
