Sky NOW TV Box bundles launch in the UK

Sky has launched special NOW TV Box bundles in the UK, offering Sky Movies and Sky Sports passes as part of the package.

Building on the £9.99 Sky NOW TV Box launched in July, Sky is now offering two bundles for its tiny set top box.

For sports fans, Sky is offering a NOW TV Box with a Sky Sports Day Pass for £14.99. This offers access to all six Sky Sports channels for 24 hours to use when you wish. The Day Pass usually retails for £9.99 so you save £5 with the bundle.

For 24.99, there a NOW TV Box bundled with a 3 month Sky Movies Pass. Usually, a Sky Movies Month Pass is charged at £8.99, meaning you’re pretty much getting 3 months for the price of two when purchased with the set top box.

“The NOW TV Box lets customers instantly transform their regular TV into a Smart TV and these brand new bundles make it even easier for people to access great live sport and the biggest and best movies on their main TV,” said Gidon Katz, Director of NOW TV. “With Christmas just around the corner, we believe that the NOW TV Box will be this year’s ultimate stocking filler.”

The new Sky NOW TV Box bundles are available from Argos, Currys and PC World. They will also be arriving in John Lewis “in the coming weeks”.

Sky Movies and Sky Sports aside, the NOW TV Box offers access to BBC iPlayer, BBC News, Demand 5, Spotfiy, Facebook, flickr, and Sky News.

Of course, Netflix and LoveFilm are notable omissions from the NOW TV Box, but seeing as they are direct rivals to the Sky Movies service, it seems a sensible move for Sky.
