Motorola Moto G price confirmed by Phones 4u, yours for just £135


The Motorola Moto G price has been confirmed, with retailer Phones 4u confirming that it will offer the newly unveiled Android handset from today, November 14 priced just £135 SIM-free.


With the Moto X having yet to make it to British shores, the American phone manufacturer yesterday unveiled the Motorola Moto G, a mid-range handset set to benefit from a budget price tag.


While the SIM-free Motorola Moto G price has been set at a wallet-friendly £134.95, Phones 4u has confirmed the handset will also be available for free on £11 per month contracts.


“There’s a huge amount of buzz at Phones 4u as we prepare to welcome Motorola’s new handset into our stores and online,” Scott Hooton, Phones 4u’s Chief Commercial Officer has said.


He added: “It’s been an incredibly busy, exciting and innovative year for handset launches, and as the countdown to Christmas quickens we know appetite for new smartphones is high, and we expect the new Moto G to be under a lot of trees this Christmas.”


For those looking to pick up a the Motorola Moto G on a pay-as-you-go basis, the Google Nexus 5 rival will be priced just £119.95 when snapped up with £10 worth of airtime.


A 4.5-inch handset with a 1280 x 720 pixel HD resolution, the Motorola Moto G specs sheet sees a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and Google’s Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS.


With a 5-megapixel rear-mounted camera and a secondary, 1.3-megapixel snapper up front, Motorola has already confirmed that the Moto G will be updated to Android 4.4 KitKat in the near future.
