Dell is back in the tablet market, reprising the Venue brand with a new range of Windows and Android tablets, announced on Wednesday.
The Dell Venue Pro 8 and Dell Venue Pro 11 both run full-fat Windows 8.1. The former, which is one of only a few sub-10-inch Windows 8 tablets on the market, arrives packing an 1200 x 800 IPS display, and comes with Intel's new quad-core Bay Trail processors.
That should give users around 10 hours of battery life, while there's also 2GB of RAM and 32GB of on-board storage. It weighs just 400 grams and is just 8.9mm thick too, making it the slimmest Windows 8 tablet in it's size range.
That device will go on sale on November 19th with the company yet to confirm an RSP.
The Dell Venue Pro 11, which goes on sale on November 7th from Dell's website from £349 is a little more upscale in terms of specs.
It promises the "power of an Ultrabook" with the flexibility of a tablet thanks to the detachable keyboard and removable/replaceable battery.
It's got a Full HD 1920 x 1080 display with wide viewing angles and will be available stuffed with Intel Haswell Core i5 processors, up to 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage.
In terms of the Android-packing Dell Venue 7 and Dell Venue 8, they'll both run Android 4.2.2 and com in Wi-Fi and 4G flavours. Both devices have an 1280 x 800 IPS screen, and dual core Intel Z2580 processors.
The $150 Venue 7 comes in 16GB-only, while the Venue 8, which is available with both 16GB and 32GB of storage will start at $179. UK pricing is yet to be confirmed, but both devices will go on sale from Dell.com on October 18.
