The iPhone 6 is shaping up to be Apple’s biggest and best smartphone to date, and now latest leaks have suggested it could also boast more storage than ever before.
With Apple’s market leading smartphones famously lacking microSD card expansion, newly surfaced handset schematics have suggested that the iPhone 6 will come in a new 128GB storage option from launch.
The existing iPhone 5S is only available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB capacities.
The claimed schematics have surfaced through phone repair company GeekBar which claims to have got its hands on the documents through legitimate sources.
As well as showing capacity options, the leaks have suggested that Toshiba will act as the sole supplier of storage components for the next iPhone.
Although tipping a 128GB iPhone 6 for release, bizarrely the leaked papers have shown the 32GB handset to be missing in action. The teased schematics have pointed towards just 16GB, 64GB and 128GB iPhone 6 handsets being made available for release.
We would, however, suggest you take this omission with a pinch of salt. We can’t see Apple not offering its most popular capacity option.
The iPhone 6 has been the subject of endless leak in recent weeks, all gearing up to the expected iPhone 6 unveiling on September 9.
The phone is believed to be heading for launch with a new 4.7-inch brushed metal design in tow. Improved camera optics, a faster A8 processor and the new iOS 8 operating system are also expected to feature.
