iPhone 6 dummy suggest slim iPod Touch inspired design

A purported iPhone 6 dummy model has cropped up on a Chinese website suggesting the 2014 flagship could take after the iPod Touch.

The highly suspect looking iPhone 6 model features an ultra slimline iPod Touch resembling body that handily fits in with the previous leaks and rumours.

Earlier this month, iPhone 6 renders for case manufacturers suggested the 2014 Apple flagship would come with a profile of just 6mm thick.

This would put it on par with the latest iPod Touch models, which feature a 6.1mm thick body with a 4-inch display.

The above iPhone 6 dummy is supposedly one mocked up to create prototype phone cases for the device, but doesn’t include the current generation iPhone 5S for scale or offer any dimension details.

However, this may well just be a quick dummy created following the recent spate of iPhone 6 rumours as it features nearly all the details contained within the newest leaks.

That includes the relocated power button, which will supposedly move from the top of the device to the top right hand side for easier access when operating a larger screen iPhone.

The dummy also features the rounded edges and elongated, slimmer volume buttons tipped, to match that offered on the iPad Air and iPad mini 2 Retina.

According to the rumours, the iPhone 6 is expected to feature a 4.7-inch display running on a brand new Apple A8 processor.

It is also tipped to be one of the first devices to feature the new iOS 8 mobile operating system, which is heavily rumoured to be health-focused with a HealthBook app.

Of course, this would complement rumours Apple will launch the iPhone 6 and iWatch simultaneously in September.
