Motorola Moto G price dropped to £100 on Vodafone

One of the most competitively priced handsets just got even cheaper, as Vodafone confirms it is to offer the Motorola Moto G for just £100 on a pay-as-you-go basis.

Having launched late last year alongside a £135 price tag, the Motorola Moto G partners a mid-range specs sheet with a firmly entry level price tag which, thanks to Vodafone, is now set to be even kinder on consumers’ wallets.

“The new Motorola Moto G is now available at Vodafone UK for just £100 on pay as you go,” the company has confirmed.

Although a brilliant deal, this bargain basement Motorola Moto G price does come with one small string attached, the £100 fee is only available “when bought with a £10 top up or Freedom Freebee.”

Vodafone is not the first retailer to offer the already cheap Moto G at a further reduced price, with Tesco currently offering the handset alongside a £110 price tag.

Playing host to a 4.5-inch 720p HD display, the Motorola Moto G specs sheet sees the 11.6mm thick plastic bodied handset powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm processor.

Running 1GB of RAM and Google’s Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS from the box – an Android 4.4 KitKat update is already available – the Moto G’s features list is rounded off by the inclusion of a 5-megapixel camera around back and a secondary, 1.3-megapixel snapper up front.

The Motorola Moto G was crowned Product of the Year in the 2013 TrustedReviews Awards back in December.
