The HTC One M9 release date has been confirmed and you’re not going to have to wait long to snap up the latest iPhone 6 rival.
Having debuted the metal-bodied flagship phone at MWC 2015, HTC has confirmed the One M9 release date will be held on March 31.
Leaving a little under a month until you can get your hands on the HTC One M8 follow-on, the impending release will likely see the handset hit retailers within days of the much-mooted Samsung Galaxy S6 arrival.
As well as confirming the HTC One M9 UK release date for the final day of the month, the Taiwanese manufacturer has revealed the handset will be given a broader, global launch on the same day.
“It’s being announced today and it will be rolling out in the EMEA regions from the 31st of March," Graham Wheeler, HTC's Director of Commercialisation Product Management said.
HTC One M9 Features
An enhancement on the M8, the newly unveiled HTC One M9 pairs a refined two-tone metal body with a bevy of high-end components.
Having ditched last year’s novel duel-lens camera in favour of a more traditional offering, HTC has bestowed the M9 with a market-leading 20.7-megapixel primary shooter. This is partnered with a selfie-loving 4-Ultrapixel camera up front.
Under the hood Qualcomm’s new 1.5GHz 64-bit, octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor keeps things ticking alongside 3GB of RAM and a HTC Sense 7.0 skinned version of Google’s latest Android 5.0 Lollipop OS.

With Dolby audio enhanced BoomSound stereo speakers making an appearance alongside 32GB of internal storage and a 5-inch, 1080p Full HD display, the 2840mAh battery hosting One M9 lines up as something of a powerhouse of the smartphone space.
Although the phone’s official release date has been confirmed, pricing for the Sony Xperia Z3 rival is still to be confirmed.
