Where can I buy the Samsung Galaxy S6/S6 Edge?: Best deals, prices, and networks

The Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge have finally landed at Barcelona’s MWC 2015, so we’ve rounded up the best places to buy both devices ahead of the April 10 launch.

The long-rumoured Galaxy S6 sees a complete spec sheet overhaul from its S predecessor. It’s carrying a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display with a 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution for starters.

It’s also got Samsung’s custom-built 14nm 64-bit octa-core Exynos 7420 chipset on board, paired with 3GB of DDR4 RAM.

The S6 Edge runs a similarly high-end component roster, but also shows off an over-edge curved display, riffing on last year’s Galaxy Note Edge.

Of course, this Barcelona-based hubbub has now reached UK shores, with Blighty’s mobile retailers all keen to flog Samsung’s latest flagship wares. ‘Where can I buy the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge?’. Pretty much everywhere, it seems…

We’ll continue to update this article with all the latest Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge deals ahead of the April 10 launch. Here’s the latest…

Price

While the retailers are staying tight-lipped on pricing, we’ve already seen leaked mark-ups for both handsets courtesy of SamMobile.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 will purportedly carry base pricing of €699 (£508) for the 32GB model, with €799 (£581) for the 64GB version, and €899 (£654) for the 128GB model.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, meanwhile, will be priced higher, starting at €849 (£617) for the 32GB handset, €949 (£690) for the 64GB device, and €1049 (£763) for the 128GB model.

EE

The UK’s 4G powerhouse network has confirmed to TrustedReviews that it will be stocking both the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge on its 4GEE network.

The S6 will be available in black, white, gold, and blue, while its edgy counterpart will come in black, white, gold, and green.

EE also says it will have a ‘wide range of Samsung accessories available’, including a wireless charging pad.

Pippa Dunn, EE’s Chief Marketing Officer, said: “Every year Samsung uses its flagship smartphone launches to introduce a host of innovative new features and functions and this year is no different.”

“To get the very best out of the new handsets features, then users really do need to match it with the biggest and fastest UK network.”

EE hasn’t confirmed pricing just yet, but we’ll update this article as soon as we find out.

Vodafone

Vodafone UK has announced it will be retailing both of Samsung’s new handsets, pegged as ‘coming soon’ by the network.

Vodafone’s pricing and exact availability are still unconfirmed at this point.

O2

O2 says it’s going to make both the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge availably for pre-order soon, although no actual date is given.

The network did confirm, however, that it would be carrying black, white, and gold models of both handsets in all capacities ranging from 32GB to 128GB.

Three

Other than confirming it will be stocking both the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, details on Three’s launch are thin on the ground.

Pricing and availability will be released in due course.

Carphone Warehouse

Carphone Warehouse has set up a web-page allowing you to register your interest for both the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.

This means that as soon as the devices become available to pre-order or buy via Carphone Warehouse, you’ll be informed. It’s still not yet clear when that will be.
