For the second time in as many days British-based phone maker Kazam has unveiled a new flagship handset.
Following up yesterday’s introduction of the Tornado 455L, the company has debuted the super svelte Kazam Tornado 522L at MWC 2015.
A follow-on to the October-introduced Kazam Tornado 348 – at the time the world’s thinnest phone – the 5.5mm thick 522L pairs a sleek design with an impressive array of internals.
“The Tornado 348 has, to date, been our most successful phone and we wanted to bring out another version,” James Arkins, Kazam’s CMO said speaking exclusively with TrustedReviews.
He added: “It’s not the world’s slimmest but you can see it’s a follow on design. It’s also got 4G, Lollipop and everything you’d want.”
Kazam Tornado 522L Features
While the Tornado 522L might not have the Galaxy S6 and HTC One M9 looking over their shoulders, the device is no slouch.
Powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core processor, the slimline Kazam handset is further enhanced by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD.
With Google’s latest Android 5.0 Lollipop OS set to run direct from the box, 4G LTE connectivity options and dual-SIM support check boxes have also been ticked.
A 5.2-inch display sits on the device’s fore, with a 1920 x 1080 pixel Full HD resolution offering suitably sharp images. A 2750mAh Lithium-Ion battery will keep the phone running well past the dreded single day hump.
On the imaging front, a 13-megapixel rear-mounted camera is backed up by an 8-megapixel selfie shooter up front.
Kazam Tornado 522L Release Date and Price
Despite having entered the realms of reality, an exact Kazam Tornado 522L release date is still to be confirmed. According to the manufacturer, however, we can expect the phone to hit retailers sometime in May.
Pricing is yet to be confirmed but Kazam has informed TrustedReviews that the handset will set wannabe owners back ‘around’ 400 euros (£290).
